Summary:
Bozzie has been a Barrister called to the Bar in 1991. She practises exclusively in the field of criminal law and has wide-ranging experience of the full spectrum of serious criminal offences ranging from serious violence and sexual offences to drugs and offences of dishonesty.

Whilst in independent practice Bozzie has provided Court Skills training to Sexual Offences Medical Examiners at BPP. She was legal research consultant to an independent film ‘Strong Language’. In 2007-2008 she was Chairwoman of the Association of Women Barristers.

Expertise:
Bozzie has considerable experience of organised crime cases including those with an international element. Additionally she has particular expertise in dealing with vulnerable and mentally ill defendants and witnesses.

Notable cases:

R v A & Others (Snaresbrook Crown Court)
Conspiracy to handle stolen goods arising from a large-scale commercial operation dealing with stolen vehicles being exported to West Africa. The investigation in this case and the subsequent trial featured in a BBC documentary.

R v C & Another (Preston Crown Court)
Defending mother in a child cruelty case raising numerous instances of consideration of the permissible limits of cross-examination between co-defendants.

R v T & Others (Stafford Crown Court)
Defending in a conspiracy to supply Class A drugs arising from Operation Yeoman, the largest ever drugs
operation by West Mercia Police Force.

R v S & Others (Southampton Crown Court)
Large scale (17 defendants) conspiracy facilitating illegal entry to the UK of migrant workers. Represented
defendant to whom the role of organiser was attributed

R v M & Others (Central Criminal Court)
Conspiracy to commit armed robberies.

Defending 16 year old defendant with mental difficulties in a case involving multiple sexual assaults.
