Summary: I was admitted to the roll of solicitors in 1996 having trained and worked in large commercial firms in Newcastle Upon Tyne. I changed track from Civil Litigation to Family Law in 2006 after a career break to have my children. I have since developed a specialism in many aspects of family law, particularly in relation to divorce and financial settlements, co- habitee disputes, international child abduction, advice on pre nuptial agreements, private and public children matters, domestic violence and protection from harassment cases.

I am very friendly and approachable and endeavour always to be available to speak to my client’s when they call me. I am a confident advocate and am not afraid of dealing with complicated or difficult cases or opponents. I am a firm supporter of legal aid; access to justice for all is the foundation of a civilised society. This also means that everyday working people, who do not qualify for legal aid, should also have access to affordable legal advice so I endorse the fixed Fee scheme introduced by Noble Solicitors to assist those “in the middle”.

I have a good breadth of experience in other areas of law, having come in to the profession when lawyers were not quite so specialised. This enhances the service that I provide to my family clients.

Personal : I am a mother of four children which, I believe, provides me with a valuable insight and experience of family dynamics and relationships. Many of my clients come from personal recommendations and referrals. My client’s appreciate my honest and realistic approach and they are confident that I will strive to achieve the best outcome for them. I am an active member of my local community; I am a governor at my local school in Harrow and a Trustee of the Watford Women’s Centre. I also participate in a Pro Bono advice scheme offering guidance to women facing difficult family and relationship issues.
