Appeals To Crown Court & Court of Appeal
Our appeals department provides advice and assistance to those who would like to appeal against conviction and / or sentence, and handles applications to the Court of Appeal directly as well as applications to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC). We can advise you whether or not we dealt with your original case, and represent both publicly and privately funded clients.
Work is carried out by our dedicated appeals team who prepare a case to be sent to an advocate who will then advise as to the merits of any potential appeal. Throughout this process, our team of case workers will progress your case with the utmost efficiency.
We can also represent you in respect of ancillary orders made at the time of sentencing such as Sexual Offences Prevention Orders (SOPOs) and Anti-Social Behaviour Orders (ASBOs). You may wish to appeal certain terms of the order that you feel are overly restrictive, or you may feel that the order is no longer necessary. We will provide you with advice as to your chances of success, procedure, and where appropriate represent you at any subsequent hearing.
Our Appeals team are always on hand to offer advice and provide assistance.
