Noble Solicitors take part in a mock court trial with University of Beds

Noble Solicitors were pleased to be involved in a mock trial held at the University of Bedfordshire (Luton campus) on Wednesday 21st March 2012.

The trial centred around Mr Jones, who had been accused of dangerous driving.

The event was cross-departmental, bringing in students from the law school, drama and media departments to act as the advocates, witnesses and Court reporters. There were two juries made up of Luton sixth form college students. Interestingly, one jury found Mr Jones guilty and one found him not guilty.

Chris Gaunt, one of the firm’s solicitor-advocates who was invited to act as Judge commented:

“The event was a real success. It was obvious that everyone involved had put in a tremendous amount of work. I was really impressed and want to thank the University for inviting me to attend.”
